The Category I organization country verification feature uses AI to help ensure the accuracy of the organization’s country entered on a Category I form. UC OATS compares the reported country with publicly available information about the organization and displays whether the entries match, along with supporting rationale. This helps faculty and reviewers confirm and maintain accurate reporting.

When you submit your Category I form, it will be processed through our AI and provide a result within a few minutes. Reviewers use this information as part of their review process and may ask you to update the country if entered inaccurately.
