Setting Annual Certification


This article will show you how to set the Annual Certification due date for your campus in UC OATS. 

  • The annual certification deadline is inherited by sub-units.
  • Sub-units can set their own custom annual certification deadlines, which will take precedence over the parent deadline.

To set the annual certification deadline:

  1. Click on the App Admin button.Application Administrator workspace page
  2. Confirm you are in the correct fiscal year. You can move forward and back through fiscal years by clicking the arrows.
  3. Select the Departments button.
  4. The annual certification deadline should be placed at the parent level by default, as it is inherited by all sub-units. If necessary, you can override the parent-level deadline by specifying a new annual certification deadline at the sub-unit level. Any units beneath that sub-unit will then inherit the newly defined deadline.
  5. Click the Edit button. 
  6. Update the annual certification date.editing the annual certification date when editing unit
  7. Click the Save button to complete the changes.
