The Category I organization country verification feature helps approvers validate the accuracy of the organization’s reported country on a Category I form. UC OATS compares the faculty-entered country with publicly available information and provides a match result with supporting rationale. This allows approvers to identify discrepancies and make informed decisions.

When a faculty member submits a Category I form, the information is processed using AI, and results are typically available within a few minutes. The system will indicate whether the reported organization country matches publicly available information.
