In cases where UCOATS does not have appointment information for current and last Fiscal Year (FY), but has prior appointments to last FY, faculty login is supported. For example, assuming today's date is July 2nd, 2021 (FY 2021-2022) and faculty has appointment data in UCOATS for FY 2019-2020 but not FY 2020-2021 and FY 2021-2022, faculty can log into UCOATS. Prior to this update, faculty without appointment info would receive an error page on login. Now when faculty logs into the system, UCOATS will copy the faculty's appointment for FY 2019-2020 to FY 2020-2021 and FY 2021-2022. Also, in cases where faculty are separated, UCOATS will redirect faculty to the landing page of the fiscal year where separation occurred.

Annual Certification tab views for reviewers and approvers now include forms for faculty that were previously appointed to their department. This addresses cases where faculty submitted an AC form that hasn't been approved by the terminal approver, but the faculty's appointment was transferred to a different department. Prior to the fix, the AC form was not viewable anywhere. After the update, reviewers and approvers of the department during the time of AC submission can handle the AC form accordingly.
